Notice of the meeting was simultaneously sent to all the members and a copy of their acknowledgment and receipt of notice and agenda is attached to these minutes.  Availability of the agenda was communicated in the advance notice as was the notice to the members of this meeting.  All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was opened to the attendance of the public.  The agenda for the meeting is attached and incorporated into these minutes.

President D. Morrill called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Members present:   Dan Morrill, Tim Gragert, Gene Suhr, Colleen Farnik, Kay Morrill and Dixie Hanefeldt.

Others Present:  Superintendent Petersen, Principal Dredge, Secretary Hoffman and district patrons.

D. Morrill announced that the Open Meeting Laws Act Poster was displayed on the wall.

D. Morrill explained what led to this meeting.  Discussion occurred between the board members on the pros and cons of cooping.  They also discussed changes that would need to be made to accommodate schedules, transportation, coaching availability etc.  The general consensus was that this needs to be looked at as a long term commitment.   Creighton would like to get the survey results back before they continue forward.  Both schools will leave the topic on their agenda each month.   Both boards agreed to discuss this and make a decision at the August board meeting concerning cooping junior high activities for 2017-2018.  It was also discussed that the board consider cooping high school activities in the 2018-2019 school year.  The administrators and athletic directors will continue to work on details.

At 8:18 p.m., Gragert moved to adjourn the meeting.  Seconded by Suhr.  RCV:  6-0.  Motion Carried.
