Bulldog Wrestlers Qualify Five for State
Congrats to the Creighton wrestling team for finishing in 3rd place at Districts and advancing 5 Bulldogs to the State Tourney in Omaha next weekend. All five finished in the top 3 places and should be set up to do well at State. Although they fell short of their goal of repeating as District champs, it looks like they still qualified for the State Dual Tournament in Kearney in two weeks. They look to be 6th in wild card points, which would match them up with Elkhorn Valley in the first round and give them a chance at payback.
State qualifiers- 113- Connor Hazen, 3rd place; 120- Zac Hazen- champion, 126- Garret Zimmerer, runner-up; 132- Bryce Zimmerer, 3rd place; and 170- Ean Stacken, 3rd place.
Brady Wortman, Colten Adams, and Sam Morrill were one match away from qualifying.
