Creighton Hosts Knox County Track Meet
The Creighton Track Team participated in the Knox County Track meet on Tuesday, April 2nd starting at 12:00pm. They all tried their hardest, and some placed in finals!
The girls had a very successful day! Olivia Kuhlman placed 7th in the girls 100 yard dash. She ran a 13.87. Michelle Neuman ran a 14.62, placing her at 12th in the 100 meter dash, and Anna Beed placed 19th; she ran a 15.67. In the girls 200 yard dash Olivia Kuhlman ran a 29.70 placing 8th, and Anna Beed placed 20th running 34.57. In the girls 1600 yard dash, Ella White placed 7th with a running time of 10. Aspen Fulton placed 7th in girls 300 yard hurdles; she ran a 1.01.52. Michelle Neuman, Jessica Hoffman, Olivia Kuhlman, and Aspen Fulton participated in the girls 4 x 100 yard relay where they placed 7th with a time of 59.71. In the girls pole vault, Olivia Kuhlman placed 3rd jumping 7.6 feet and Michelle Neuman placed 4th jumping 7 feet. Michelle Neuman placed 13th in the girls long jump with 13-04.75. Jessica Hofmann placed 7th throwing 1-00.00 in shot put, and placed 6th in girls discus throwing 84-04.
Boys also did very well! Matthew Shefl placed 16th in the boys 100 yard dash running 12.75 and 19th in the 200 yard dash running 27.39. Karter Gragert placed 20th running 27.49. Gus ran 29.83 placing 27th. The boys 400 yard dash Matthew Shefl placing 9th running 1.02.13. George Burrell ran a 1.08.12 placing him at 16th, and Gus Stacken placed 17th running a 1.12.40. In the 1600 yard run, Conner Rohrer placed 2nd with a time of 5.03.50 and Ian Crockett running 8 placing him at 7th. Taylor Nilson placed 1st in the Boys 110 hurdles with a time of 17.02; James Fanning placed 11th with a time of 21. Taylor Nilson also placed 1st in the boys 300 yard hurdles with 43.44. James Fanning ran a 52.56 taking 9th place. The boys 4x100 yard relay consisted of Joseph Barnell, Matthew Shefl, Karter Gragert, and Owen Doerr placing 8th with a time of 47. Conner Rohrer, Ian Crockett, Joseph Barnell, and Taylor Nilson took 6th in the boys 4x800 yard relay. In the boys pole vault, Taylor Nilson took 6th with a height of 9 feet. Joseph Barnell jumped 8.6 feet placing 7th, and Ian Crockett placed 9th with a height of 8. Karter Gragert placed 4th in long jump with 18-07.25. Joseph Barnell jumped 15-07.50 placing him 14th. Gus Stacken placed 17th; he jumped 11-11.50. Taylor Nilson took another 1st place in the boys triple jump with a jump of 40-.02, and Karter Gragert placing 4th with a jump of 37-.09. In the boys shot put, Braxton Eggerling placed 1st with a throw of 42-09; Owen Doerr threw 42-00.50 placing 2nd. Deric Sayers placed 7th throwing 32. Owen Doerr also took 1st in discus throw with a throw of 134.05. Braxton Eggerling threw 116.02 placing him in 3rd. Deric Sayers placed 7th throwing 85.
The next track meet is April 9th at Cedar Catholic at 1:00pm.
