Working...
Welcome to my website where you'll find information and updates about things happening in the FAMILY CONSUMER SCIENCE I grew up on a farm near Gordon, Nebraska. I earned my teaching degree from Chadron State College. My husband, Pastor Casey Nelson, and I have 3 married children and 8 grandchildren.
I enjoy singing, playing piano, gardening, sewing, and traveling to visit family.
I taught Family Consumer Science in Minnesota for two years, then elementary education for four years in rural western Nebraska schools before moving to Creighton. I was a substitute teacher for 15 years in northeast Nebraska. This is my 13th year of teaching in Creighton, where I've also taught third grade, and Title I math.
I began teaching Family and Consumer Science Courses, in 2014. I enjoy working with these inspiring and active students carrying out their projects and responsibilities. I accompany the Senior High Choir. I advise the FCCLA (Family Career & Community Leaders of America). I also sponsor the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) at Creighton Community Schools.
