November 11, 2005 – All Staff In-Service – Reviewed mission and belief statements and school improvement goals

December 15, 2006 – All Staff In-Service – Reviewed progress on school improvement

September 2007 – Principals and Superintendent met to discuss School Improvement Goals

October 1, 2007 – Principals and Superintendent met to discuss School Improvement Plan

October 8, 2007 – All Staff In-Service – Worked on school improvement.  Acted on goals.

November 2, 2007 – All Staff In-Service – Worked on school improvement

January 11, 2008 – All Staff In-Service – Reviewed 7 steps of AdvancEd with ESU #1

April 3, 2008 – Mark Brogie and Superintendent attended SIP workshop at ESU #1 with Bob Lungrin of ESU #10.  Learned about steps of school improvement.

May 23, 2008 – All Staff In-Service with ESU #1 on SIP.  Staff divided into teams and worked on 7 Standards.

October 27, 2008 – Principal and Superintendent met to discuss SIP timeline, duties, etc.

Feb 10-11, 2009 – Superintendent attended NCA school improvement workshop in Lincoln.

April 1, 2009 – All Staff In-Service – Met with Rhonda Jindra of ESU #1 on continuing to make progress on school improvement.

May 22, 2009 – All Staff In-Service – Met to continue working with teams on school improvement.

January 4, 2010 – All Staff In-service – Met to continue working on school improvement in 7 areas.

January 15, 2010 – School improvement committee workday.

January 22, 2010 - School improvement committee workday.

January 29, 2010 - School improvement committee workday.

February 26, 2010 - School improvement committee workday.

March 5, 2010 – Staff In-Service over school improvement.

  • Board of Education has reviewed and heard the report at approximately two meetings per year
  • Principals and Superintendent have met numerous times to prepare for school improvement

Sep 12th, 2014 – Gathered input from staff at inservice to help fill out Executive Summary and Stakeholder Improvement Plan, took staff survey

Sep12th, 2014 – submitted student and parent surveys to AdvancEd for feedback

Sep 23rd, 2014 – SIP meeting to finish Improvement plan stakeholder involvement

October 8th, 2014 – SIP meeting to look at surveys, stakeholder feedback diagnostic

Oct 17th, 2014 – Staff inservice with Rhondra Jindra of ESU 1 with MAPS goal setting, Khan Academy, Rittoresource.org help

Oct 23-24th, 2014– SIP attended AdvancEd workshop in Norfolk, NE

Oct 30th, 2014 – SIP partial team meeting to proofread Executive Summary

Nov 6th, 2014 – SIP meeting to look at proofreading diagnostics

Nov 18th, 2014 – SIP meeting to proofread and finalize rough drafts of diagnostics

Dec 5th, 2014 – SIP meeting to pick students, parents and teachers for external visit.  Steering committees also met to look at student, parent and staff surveys.  Discussed strengths, weaknesses and plan of action for addressing our weaknesses in each survey.

Dec 9th, 2014 – Visit from lead evaluator (Kent Miller) to give feedback for SIP team before external visit, set up schedule, logistics

Dec 18th, 2014 – SIP meeting to finalize and submit information on ASSIST, logistical information for external visit (meals, schedule, interviews, etc)

January 13th, 2015 – final SIP meeting before visit to run over all facets of the visit, double check

February 10th-12th, 2015 – AdvancED External Visit
