Mission Statement and Goals
The mission of the Creighton Community Schools elementary and high school library is to foster a lifelong love of reading and to empower students to become curious, confident, and independent learners. Through a welcoming and resource-rich environment, we support literacy development, encourage exploration through books and media, and promote reading as a foundation for academic success and personal growth. We are committed to helping every student discover the joy of reading and to using that passion to unlock new knowledge, ideas, and opportunities.
Goals: (Updated 25-26 school year)
1. Continue to provide students with more access to both physical and digital books and resources.
2. Continue to work with classroom teachers to design learning strategies and lessons using resources provided by our libraries
3. Increase the amount of books and resources used at the 7-12 level (classrooms and library)
