All State Band
Saturday March 19th, Creighton students traveled to Kearney to participate in the Class C All State Bands. Over 450 students in Class C schools across the state sent in auditions and 6 students from Creighton were selected to participate. To celebrate the 30th year of Class C All State Band a Junior High band comprised of 7th and 8th graders was added to the ensembles for the first time. Samantha Crockett (alto saxophone), Abbey Rohrer (tenor saxophone), & Anthony Morrill (trumpet) all played in this group. There were three high school ensembles, Creighton had participants in Symphonic Band & Wind Ensemble. Anna Morrill (clarinet) & Makayla Rohrer (trumpet) played in Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Jay Gilbert (Doane College) while Eli Kliment (baritone bass clef) played in Symphonic Band under the direction of Dr. Michelle Bluford (Elkhorn South High School). All ensembles played their hearts out and gave a fantastic concert.
