#1 Creighton Nudges Past #3 Orchard/Clearwater

The Bulldogs were in a contest Friday night. They jumped out to an early 14-0 lead, but not so fast says Eli Macke, the 150-pounder from Orchard/Clearwater. He returned a kickoff all the way for a Cyclone touchdown adding a two point conversion the score is 14-8. Creighton's offense in the first half came out ready to rumble leading it at half time 36-16. The Cyclones came out in the second half and played just as hard as they did in the first half. The Bulldogs line held up just fine allowing Creighton to rush for over 350 yards. Coach Kliment said "This game was nuts, really wild." That it was Kliment, that it was! JD Kuhlman also quotes, "We were obviously the stronger team, we had two key injuries and still won." The Bulldogs did end up winning the game 50-44.

The Bulldogs will enjoy a bye week. After the bye week they will travel to Homer, Nebraska to take on the Mighty Knights.
