Bulldogs End Regular Season

    West Holt brought Creighton's outstanding basketball season to a close Monday night in Niobrara with a 56-49 win. It was a good game with the score tied at the quarter, down by one at the half, and tied at the end of the third quarter. The Huskies jumped out to a 7 point lead in the fourth, but the Bulldogs charged back to within two. Both teams hit their free throws at the end and WH got a couple of breakaways as Creighton pressed hard. 
Great season this year with 17 wins!

Bulldog Basketball Team Advances to District Final

The Creighton Boys Basketball team had a busy and exciting week on the court. Tuesday they started sub-district play vs. Niobrara/Verdigre.  It was a hard fought battle, but the Bulldogs came out on top by two points, 48-44. Scoring for the Bulldogs- Brandon Borgmann- 14, Austin Diedrichsen- 13, Lane Walton- 8, Cole Wetzler- 7, Shane Asher- 2, and Brady Brockhaus- 2.

On Thursday, the Bulldogs took on Neligh, who had previously beaten the Bulldogs in regular season play.  The Bulldogs, once again fighting a tough battle, won by a score of 75-69, in OT.  Free throws played a key role in this overtime victory!  Scoring- Borgmann- 23, Diedrichsen- 20, Brockhaus- 12, Wetzler- 9, Walton- 6, Chase Largen- 5.

Bulldogs advance to the District Final game that will be played on Monday, February 29, in Niobrara at 7:00.  GOOD LUCK TO THE BULLDOGS!

Bulldogs Beat Ponca on Home Court

The Creighton Bulldog boys basketball team finished the regular season Friday night by beating Ponca at home 63-53. This was the last home game for the Seniors of 2016.  The Bulldogs, under the direction of Ryon Nilson, ended the regular season with a record of 15-7.

Scoring for the Bulldogs- Brandon Borgmann- 25, Lane Walton- 14, Austin Diedrichsen- 13, Brady Brockhaus- 9, Cole Wetzler- 1, and Noah Lilly- 1.  The JVs lost 21-41. Scoring- Wyatt Diedrichsen- 8, Chase Largen- 6, Noah Lilly- 3, Brady Nelson- 2, and Travis Tyler- 2.

The Bulldogs play in the first round of Sub-districts on Tuesday at 8:00 in Wausa.
