Creighton Flexes Strength at Scholastic Day

March 23, 2018

On the morning of March 21, a group of high schoolers were waiting at the school.  These aren't just ordinary high school kids though, they are high schoolers that go to Creighton High School.  They were waiting for this moment their entire lives.  All the work, the late nights studying, the countless hours of memorization, the blood, the sweat, the tears, will soon pay off.  They were going to the Scholastic Contest day at Northeast Community College.  The bus left strictly at 7 O'clock in the morning.  The day was long, like the neck of a giraffe.  The students exerted maximum skill and effort throughout the course of their tests and it paid off.  Four students earned the awards of 3rd place.  These students are Sloane Fuchtman in Administrative Professional, James Johnson in Basic Construction, Brady Brockhaus in Calculus, and Brady Nelson in Drafting.  Five students fell a little short of becoming champions of their competitions.  These students were Brian Johnson in
Agri-Science and World History, Cody Hanvey in Biology, John Crocket in Computer Literacy, Anna Morrill in English Composition, and Corbin Schollmeyer in Vocabulary.  While many kids fell short in becoming champions, we still had three winners.  Ted Fanta won Technical Math, Brennan Pint won Business Law, and Anna Morrill won Music.  Overall, it was a great team effort for the Bulldogs but they fell just short and received 2nd place in Class D as a school.
