Algebra II

Description: Algebra II is a two semester course which expands the axioms in Algebra I and prepares the student for work in higher mathematical courses in high school or college. New topics include working more in depth with quadratic functions, complex numbers, exponential functions, logarithmic functions, and rational functions. A brief look at probability and statistics is also introduced. This class is a must for any student planning on taking the ACT exam and attending a four-year college or university.
Calculators: Graphing calculators will be used throughout this course. Only TI (Texas Instruments)-83, TI-83 plus, TI-84, and TI-84 plus calculators will be allowed on quizzes and tests.
Grading Scale: Homework: 20% Quizzes: 40% Tests 40%
For additional help: Additional help can always be received during class and during 8th period. Other times can be arranged before school, after school, or any other time we can arrange to meet. The most important aspect of getting help, is simply make sure you ask!
