Homecoming Coronation at CHS

October 04, 2016

The 2016 Homecoming Coronation took place on September 30 at 2:10 p.m. The coronation started off with a welcome by Bailey Zimmerer and Connor Hazen. The procession of the attendants and candidates was accompanied with music by Anna Morrill and Alexandra Larson. After the procession, Anna and Alexandra played "Ashokan Farewell" by Jay Ungar. Then was the the indroduction of the attendants and candidates of the 2016 homecoming court. Representing the freshmen were Charlize Wilmes and Brayden Zimmerer. Representing the sophomore class were Kirsten Adams and Bryce Zimmerer. The junior class was represented by Kaitlin Sukup and Levi Stacken. Next was the introduction of the candidates for queen and king. First was Katie Homan and Colten Adams. Next was Chelsea Boelter and Brady Wortman. Then it was Makayla Brockhaus and Ryan Neumann. Lastly, Maycey Forker and Sam Morrill ended the indroduction of the attendants and candidates. The crown bearers were Michelle Neumann and Guy Wortman. Next, Zac Hazen sang a solo of the song "Treat You Better" by Shawn Mendes. Afterwards, the senior sport sqauds gave a message. The 2015 royalty, Mary Zimmerer and Austin Diedrichsen, crowned Makaya Brockhaus and Brady Wortman queen and king. Congrats! A parade followed the coronation and the attendants were re-announced before the football game that night.
