2016 Nebraska FFA State Convention
Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln, NE
The 88th annual Nebraska FFA State Convention and Expo was held for the second time at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in downtown Lincoln, NE on April 6-8th. Over 30 students from the Creighton FFA Chapter attended the 3 day conference. The students had the opportunity to participate in several competitions, such as Farm Management, Ag Sales, Meat Judging, and many, many more.
The conference also included many different tours, general sessions, and leadership workshops that the students had the opportunity to take advantage of. One highlight of the trip for 8 seniors was to tour the Hudl headquarters in downtown Lincoln. Two former gradautes of Creighton, Jocelyn Sukup and Cassidy Curtis, both received 1st place in their proficiency areas. Seniors Shane Asher and Austin Diedrcihsen received their state degree on the stage of the PBA.
Advisors Debi Doerr and Amy Siecke took the students to Lincoln with the help of other sponsors. The next event for the Creighton FFA is the annual FFA Banquet and Awards Ceremony, which will be conducted on Sunday, April 24th, in the High School gymnasium.
