News Release: Four Finalists to interview...

...for the position of Superintendent of Schools

News Release

The Creighton Public Schools Board of Education has chosen four finalists to interview for the position of Superintendent of Schools.  The finalists include Darron Arlt, Kim Lingenfelter, Stephanie Petersen, and Mike Williams. 

Mr. Arlt is currently employed in the Central City Public Schools, where he has served as the Middle School Principal since 2011.  Prior to Central City, Mr. Arlt had administrative experience in the Humphrey St. Francis Schools. 

Ms. Lingenfelter is the Superintendent of the Neligh-Oakdale Public Schools where she has been employed for the past four years.  Before going to Neligh-Oakdale, Ms. Lingenfelter served as the Principal in the Bloomfield Public Schools.

Ms. Petersen is the Preschool through 8th Grade Principal in the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Public Schools, a position she has held for the past 18 years.

Mr. Williams is the Superintendent of the Maywood Public Schools, a position he has held since 2011.  Mr. Williams had previous Principal experience in Bertrand; Rock Port, Mo.; and in Loup County.

The Board of Education will conduct interviews of all of the candidates on Saturday, January 31st beginning at 10:00 AM.  The Board will convene at 9:30 AM in preparation for the interviews.  The interviews will be conducted in open session, and members of the public may attend the interviews.

The search for a new Superintendent of Schools began in December following the acceptance by the Board of the resignation of the current Superintendent Jeff Jensen. Mr. Jensen resigned to take a similar position with  the Central City Public Schools.
