October 23, 2007
The Creighton High School Drama Department cast is currently rehearsing their fall production of "Twice Upon a Time" by Colleen Neuman
.
The play is a fairy tale farce. According to the Story Tellers (Ally Von Seggern, Riley Dohmen) three witches: Fermelda (Becci Laflan), Slug (Kaitlin Hornback), and Grub (Randy Wilmes) are in a bit of a fix. They have lost their spell book. Their attempts to conjure have messed up the cosmos of the magic world. Every time one of them says "abracadabra" someone new shows up in their cave.
Some of the uninvited guests are Cinderella (Krista Nelson), Sleeping Beauty (Hannah Zimmerer), Snow White (Jenni Laflan), Beauty (Clarisa Hazen), and the princess of "Princess and the Pea" fame (Candice York). Because the witches don't have their spell book and can't remember the correct spell to get rid of their guest, no one can get back to their own lives.

There are two performance scheduled for the play. Both are on Friday, November 2. One will be a matinee starting at 1:00 p.m. The other is scheduled for that evening at 7:30 p.m.
Creighton will be hosting the Creighton Invitational Play Production Festival on Tuesday, November 13 starting at 3:00 p.m. Creighton will be the first school to perform. The NENAC Play Production Contest is scheduled for Tuesday, November 20. The district contest will be held at Madison on Wednesday, November 28.
Plan on coming to one of these performances or perhaps "Twice Upon a Time".
