Hometown: Ewing and Chambers- I lived between both and attended Chambers High School.

College Attended: UNL

Most Inspirational person: Mr. Burt Schernikau, my teacher I student taught under.

Summer Activities: Attending and playing at weddings, and jamming with my brothers.

Hobbies: Fishing, composing, playing with the computer, jamming on the piano, tuba, or whatever!

The biggest word you know: Humongous

Something most people don't know about you: My favorite pop is A&W Cream Soda.

Favorite place to vacation/visit: Mahoney State Park

Favorite subject in school: Science

Past teaching experience: Working with babies and toddlers in a music setting.

Why did you choose Creighton? I have relatives here and I am familiar with the atmosphere since it's a lot like Chambers.

Why do you like teaching?  I get such a rush seeing students succeed. When it's something I'm teaching them, it makes it even better!

What is it about your new job that appeals to you? I can really make this program my own. I'm open to reasonable suggestions though.

What are your goals for the coming year? March at three parades, get students interested in band, and survive!

What advice would you give students in your classroom? Just be open-minded and respectful. I don't know of a teacher that will quiz you on something you haven't learned yet, so listen to what they're saying!

What is your favorite class/subject to teach? I'm having a blast in all my classes, but the high school band is turning out to be quite interesting. We're making some changes and these kids have a lot to offer since they've seen what has been going on with the program.
